The Grace of Eagles - 50% DONE

The Grace of Eagles - 50% DONE

Postby Alienhead on Tue Oct 14, 2008 3:51 pm

Hello there, living people. This is Alienhead, who posted about a script o' mine some time ago.

Since I'm still waiting for some VAs, I've started on a small project that I'll be able to complete on my own. I'm pretty excited over this project as well. It's something of a music video, which I was inspired to do after listening to Danman87 at Newgrounds. He's a really talented guy! Anyhow, I'd like to share my progress with the project here. I don't know if anyone will care, but we'll see about that, now won't we? :)

It'll center around an eagle from Hinterlands trying to earn its wings, and then'll fly Azeroth around with its newfound ability.

The music being used during the movie is: http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/170262

Right now about 50% of the machinima is done. (Will update progress and screenshots regularly)

And, while I'm at it, I could use some help with coming up with a name for the machinima. Feel free to give suggestions.

Thank you

First of all, truly awesome music you've got there! Reminds me of 'Spirit'.
I must say you're attempting something very original here, using an eagle as your main character! Your screen shots look brilliant as well! A very promising start, I'll definitely look forward to the finished product. :)

Awww, thank you. This is my first lengthy machinima, and third movie I've ever done, and and I'm hoping for it to give my career a boost right from the beginning. ^^

Here are a few names i came up with (if you don't aldready got one):
Flight of Destiny
Wings of Endless Hope
Eagles Flight
Feathers of Flight

The names are kinda obvious, but you can change them.

Hope you get a good name and the movie itself will be entertaining.

("The Grace of Eagles", is that the name?

No, Grace of Eagles ain't it. I only chose something that I thought would attract some attention.

I think you should go with Grace of Eagles. If you took that name for the thread then name the movie title the same.

Well, it's not that easy. First off, it's about one mere eagle, not several, and the emphasis is on his determination to fly, not on his, err, "grace."

I was thinking of "Winged Dreams" or "Feather-Clad Dreams", but I'd say they're too cliché.

Blasted! With the new patch WoW Machinima Tools doesn't work. I'm sorry, but I have to wait until they release a new version.

In so many ways the latest patch is both a blessing and a curse. I've been trying different options to repair my programmes, but the only way to do that is to spend a fair amount of hours to re-install WoW and not being able to play it while machinimating, and I'm not too fond of that thought. I guess I'll just have to wait until foremost WoWModelViewer is repaired and I may continue. :(
