If not much's been done this last week, then it's because I'm very very VERY unsettled due to us flying to the Canarie Islands tomorrow. So, I just wanted to tell you that, should you not hear from me in two weeks, then I'm probably dead on the bottom of the ocean...

Well, after a rather turbulent departure and arrival that scared the living crap out of meselves, I'm back on safe ground. I'll get right back to work, and I pray to God that my family has settled and don't feel like going on another sudden trip.

Figured I'd throw my two cents in here.

I remember back when you made this thread and was intrigued. Good to see you're still moving along!

Just to comment on your possible title "Celestial Gale." From what I can tell in your description, this title doesn't fit very much for me. Sure Celestial refers to the sky, but it is more notably connected to heavenly or space-like in most minds. At least for me, when I hear "Celestial" I think of the stars. Furthermore, as far as I know "Gale" is simply a strong wind. While a cool sounding name, I don't feel that it fits your story. (Unless you have tweaked it).

I'll keep my mind open for my title ideas, but I still think "The Grace of Eagles" is the best here so far. It's simple, easy to remember, and effective. While you noted that it is more about a single eagle earning his wings, I see that as meaning he is trying to learn the "grace" of his species. I feel the title fits quite nicely, especially for the second part of the movie when the eagle successfully learns to fly. He has earned his "grace" and can now join his fellow eagles in flight.

Again, this is just my two cents. Please feel free to tell me to bugger off. =)

<grabs the two cents greedily and eats them>

Thank you for your post.
Yes, I feel the same way, but I thought people would find that "The Grace of Eagles" sounded like I had attempted to make a cool title too much... too "attempted", so to speak. But, it seems most people don't have a problem with it, so I'm down to two alternatives now.

The Grace of Eagles, which was meant as a placeholder until I came up with a better title, how ironic...

and

A Magnificent Journey, after the score I'm using in the film, which also is a great was to credit the artist that did it even more.

It's up to you folks.

Oh, and I'm sorry that I've not done any progress this week, or nine days I believe, but first off I started with WoW again, and I've been spending time getting my characters into new guilds - completely my own fault, plus there's been an... accident at school, with me starring as the antagonist. <cough cough>

Anyhow, I hope you will bear with me, for if I cut away WoW, I also do portraits, and suddenly requests have been pouring in. I have more unfinished requests than I have finished portraits, plus I'm about to start a small web serial for one of my guilds, but I'll try my best to squeeze in a couple of hours per day. Again, sorry for the... extreme delay I've had over the last months. Truly.

Another 5% done.

But I fear for the project's future. These last days crashes and error messages have started to become more frequent (probably because I'm a Vista-user), and today the f'cking program crashes EVERY time I attempt to preview the piece of crap! I'm not exaggerating when I say it has crashed over 50 times today! If these problems that keep popping up keep on coming - sent by some cruel, hidden villain - I'll seriously consider laying down this machinima. It has brought nothing but trouble yet, and I'm ill from guilt since it seems to never be completed.

If this continues tomorrow, I'll give the Higher Power a ringing slap across the face, and then I'll send in the junkpile to be repaired one last time. After that... well, if it doesn't work then, I doubt there's much more I can do...

Like Arthas, I'm so tired.

Completed a bit more - managed to ease the troubles I'm having.

I've come to the conclusion that the issue is an effect from the massive size of my AE project at the moment, so I'll render what I've done so far, and remove the files that are sucking up my machine power, before I continue.
So, since I'll be stuck with half a film soon, I'd like to ask you if you want me to post the first half of it for you to see... perhaps as a teaser for you?

Oh, and by the way, I decided to go with "The Grace of Eagles" as its title. Took a friggin' long time to decide to use what I intended to be a placeholder. Heh heh. x)
