I didn't know that you can import .aep files into Sony Vegas, interesting.

No, you can't. He renders all the video clips in After Effects and then he puts them all together in Vegas.

Yeah you make all the scenes in AE and then put them together and render it to the full movie in Vegas. That's the usual way, but you can do it your way.

But when I save my AE comp it saves the entire project not just the video pieces. I should export from AE every single video and then drag them (like Windows Movie Maker) into Sony Vegas??

Bah ... I've done an interesting video with AE (nothing about FRAPS) and I have exported it into Premiere.
I've created a new comp and I've added the AE comp into the Premiere new one.
Export and then? Again!! Loss of quality. I'm really getting bored ... I tought that was a really good editing software (if not the best) but I'm really changing my mind. >(

Why, Windows Movie Maker, that's a very easy program without shining junk but when I drag into the single video pieces (without keying and other effects :'( ) and save the composition it makes a really good output quality video?

Export the video with no quality loss and it should be fine.
After Effects is IMO the best video effect program and not the best video composing program.
