warriors have a red rage bar. more rage = more damage. so the more pissed they get the more damage they can do.

paladins have a blue mana bar. Retribution paladins have to treat their mana bar almost like a rage bar. The difference being we start a fight with a full 'rage bar'.

I play a retribution paladin. Hence the humor of a 'blue rage bar'. I can start my fights pissed and do lotsa damage ;)

and before someone goes 'lolret' , I recomend checking out my gear profile thats a part of my sig ;)

Just kiding with you, I also play a paladin and from time to time I'm retribution...I think it's time to purchase my gamecard:)

yeah that was taken back in nov/dec of last year when I was just starting to raid ret. I've since gotten the proper upgrades and am in 4/8 lightbringer (helm chest legs shoulders) s3 pvp gloves and all the other sweet things a ret pally needs in order to do well.

Now i've gotta farm that stupid trinket offa H-MT to replace my AP trinket, otherwise i'm sitting round 9k hp 6k mana 2100AP and 32.7% crit unbuffed.

I just havent gotten around to upgrading my sig.

How the hell are all my stats better than yours (well not crit chance - 28% unbuffed =S) if you have infinitely better gear than me??

9.5k HP, 7.1k mana, 2200 AP, 28% Crit Chance... I'm in Season One Arena Gear with the Justicar (t4) Helm and Gloves and Lionheart Executioner.

cant access armory at work but last time i checked, my stats were somewhere around this

9.3k HP or higher
6k mana i think
20xx something AP
33% crit
93 Hit rating
80 something expertise rating which converts to something like 18 expertise i think
5/8/48 build
not PVP spec

Also I've got various trinkets that give me a variable boost to AP by as much as 900AP if the planets align and an extra 100SP. In raid with a war/rog/rog/shammy setup my AP can regularly raise itsself to about 3500. Sometimes higher.

Since nov/dec, I've improved my gear and am sitting at 6/8 lightbringer, Torch of the damned, Blessings deck and Shard of Contempt. I dont have specific crit/hit trinkets or anything of that nature. Were i to dump the deck and shard for crit trinkets i'd sit somewhere aroundddd..mmm 35% crit unbuffed but i'd lose out on a lot of wonderful stacking bonuses that increase my damage and reduce raid mob boss mitigation. Sure, I dont have super awesome attack power, but i would rather land more hits against my target and do solid damage than run the chance of missing them while scoring bigger hits on average. Also, I'd prefer to crit more, and you can see that in my gem choices, than to hit harder. I can guarantee you that the 5% crit difference between me vs you yields more average damage than your 180+AP that you have over me.

I'd dig up my WWS, but for example, fully raidbuffed and on Brutallus in Sunwell, my personal best is about 1900+ DPS with a few glancing blows. Had he not parried or dodged those few hits i would have broken 2k DPS easily.

While your raw stats initially may seem better, and probably do well for pvp or pve given your gear, i can guarantee you were we to compare WWS stats on an invincible Blasted Lands mob, you'd notice the difference right away ;)
